Walleye Weekend is a free, family-friendly festival at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This year we welcome back the Walleye National Tournament to Mercury Island. We’ll have all your returning favorites including Wild World of Animals, Pier Pups, Familyland, Eve6 w/ special guest Blessid Union of Souls, music on 3 stages, face-painting, all your favorite festival foods and lots of fun new activities including The Sports Corner, Imagination Island, and the Build & Block Zone.

Fountain Island is transformed into Imagination Island on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Walleye Weekend. Check out the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts Activity Tent and help us paint the community picnic tables, meet your favorite Storybook characters or make your own band at the Night Market Stage. All ages are welcome.

3pm - 6pm: Photo Ops and Face Painting
Show your true colors by getting your face painted any colors you want! You can also become any animal you want from a dog to a lion and we’ll have Walleye Weekend options available as well - the possibilities are endless!

Burke Scavenger Hunt

3:00 - 6:00 pm: Play That Moves You
Join us for the Burke Scavenger Hunt all weekend long. Enjoy all the Burke Playground Equipment Lakeside Park has to enjoy including the ALL-NEW MOVMNT™ Extreme electronic game. Grab a playing card at the Burke tent and perform all the actions, on, and around the playground. Prizes available for all participants ages 2-12.

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Michels Giant Sandbox

Who doesn’t love playing in the sand? We’re creating a gigantic sandbox at Walleye Weekend in 2022. Kids of all ages can enjoy building their own sand castles, sand-sculpted creatures, and finding hidden gems within the sand. With help from our sponsor, we’ll be hiding colored golf balls good for special prizes redeemed at the Kids Connection Tent at the times listed below (located in Familyland). Better start digging!

Michels Wild World of Animals

4:30 pm & 6:30 pm: Let’s get wild!
Animals appearing on the Michels Corporation Wild World of Animals Stage include: large alligator, snapping turtle, large and small American alligator, large reticulated python, albino monocle cobra, European eagle owl, blue and gold macaw, opossum, binturong, spot-nose guenon, African spotted leopard, pug-(dog), two pot-bellied pigs, emperor scorpion, leopard gecko, African millipede, ball python and marine toad. We love dogs! Jumping, flying, splashing….oh my! If your dog loves the water, you will want to try Pier Pups Canine Dock Jumping. This is their 5th year of what is to become a tradition at Walleye Weekend.

The little ones will have the ability to explore this bounce house and take a plunge down the big squishy slide and not worry about the big kids knocking them around. Ages 3 - 6 preferred.

3:00 - 6:00 pm: FamilyLand Obstacle Courses
Kids of all ages can check out the obstacle courses and challenge their friends to see who can complete the course the fastest.

Kids of all ages can get inside these floating inflatable balls and play a game of Bumper Balls. Fun to watch and really fun to play!

Join the Fond du Lac Family YMCA, the Fondy Junior Football League (JFL) and Fond du Lac Football in the first ever Fondy Football Challenge at Walleye Weekend on Sunday, June 12th. Part of Walleye Weekend Family Day, this event is designed to promote the sport of football in our community. Kids entering 1st - 8th grades in Fall of ’22 are eligible to sign-up. Limited spots available.
