Westfield Community Players presents WWP with donation

(Westfield, NJ) --- Westfield Community Players (WCP) recently presented the Wounded Warrior Project with a check representing proceeds it raised during a special performance of Almost, Maine.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of September 11, 2001.

The donation was presented to the Wounded Warrior Project by Bill McMeekan, WCP Treasurer and WCP president Steve Lemenille at its Annual Meeting.

"On behalf of the Board of Directors and of those who attended the special performance, we are so proud to have been able to make this donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in their efforts to help our servicemen and women who have given so much for their country." said Steve Lemenille, WCP president. "We hope we can continue this with our upcoming seasons for such a worthy cause." said Bill McMeekan, WCP Treasurer.
