WASHINGTON - Congressman Bruce Westerman joined a bipartisan Congressional delegation, led by Speaker Kevin McCarthy, to Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. More about the trip below:

During their time in Israel, the delegation received updates on the security challenges facing Israel, and discussed ways they can continue to work together as Israel celebrates 75 years of independence. Westerman and the delegation met with Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israel President Issac Herzog.

In Jordan, Westerman and the Delegation met with His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince.

While in Egypt, the delegation met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah aal Sisi to discus security challenges, initiatives to create prosperity for both nations, and the importance of greater regional cooperation. They also met with a group of U.S. Marines stationed in Egypt and spoke with the Marines about their mission in supporting the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
