• If you aren't going to the Madeira Schools Foundation Auction this year you can still bid on most items! Go to Madeira Gras Bidding and check out the hundreds of fantastic items up for bid online, including an adorable 3 month old chocolate lab named Churro. All winners will be notified of their winning bids via email on Saturday at 10 pm whether they are at the live event or not. "Madeira Gras" will be held on Saturday, March 15 in the St. Gertrude Parish Center from 6 pm until 11:45 pm. Join more than 350 Madeira supporters to enjoy a catered Cajun dinner and bid on fabulous donated items and raffle prizes including vacation trips, sporting event tickets, unique experiences, class items and much more. 

• Madeira Theatre Arts presents "Cinderella" April 10-12 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 12 at 2 pm. All performances will be held at Madeira High School's Medert Auditorium, 7465 Loannes Drive. Our annual free Senior Citizen Day performance will be April 9 at 10 am after a continental breakfast at 9. An optional $5 lunch will be held following the performance. Reservations for senior citizen day can be made by calling 891-8222 and tickets for the community performances can be purchased at Cinderella Tickets.

• Make plans to attend Madeira's 1st Annual Father Daughter Dance for girls in Preschool through Sixth Grade. Madeira High School's National Honor Society is hosting the dance on Friday, April 4 in the MHS Gymnasium from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. The cost is $20 per couple and $5 for each additional daughter. • The April 4 Madeira vs Wyoming varsity baseball game will be played at Crosley Field as part of the Reds Future Games. The $5 admission will include one Reds Futures High School Showcase ticket for your high school game (with Coney Island buy one/get one free ticket on the  back), one Reds ticket voucher and one Skyline Chili cheese coney coupon. Tickets will go on sale in the MHS Athletic Office Monday, March 17 during regular school hours.

• Madeira's Spring Walk to School Day is Wednesday, April 9.


• The Madeira High School Choir received a Superior rating at Friday's OMEA district contest, which qualified them for State contest. They will compete at the State level on Saturday, May 3.

• The Madeira Latin Club traveled to the Ohio Junior Classical League Convention on March 7 9 and placed 4th out of 29 other clubs. Major awards included Superior ratings on both the Scrapbook and Banner, as well as first place in the Skit contest. Madeira Latin Club was also recognized as the largest OJCL club in Ohio.

• 7th grader Ben Fisk finished in a 4 way tie for 57th place at the state Math Counts competition which put him in the top third of the 173 Mathletes competing.
