Arts and Entertainment

December 19, 2022

From: Whidbey Island Fine Arts Studio

We all want to thank for you for supporting us in the past  2 years, it has been a challenge, however, things are looking up.

We love the live workshops, the interaction with other students and a total immersion into the painting / drawing atmosphere. Not to forget the fun during the workshop and the after class dinners.

We have met the nicest people doing this.

We hope to see you next year and please do contact us with suggestions for instructors.

Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year!!

Due to popular demand we have added several watercolor workshops to the schedule.  The first one is with Judi Betts, a much admired watercolor artist who does not need any introduction here and the second is Lori Hess, a local artist specializing in watercolor portraits.  Here are the links to these workshops and all their information: www.whidbeyislandfas.com/judi-betts and www.whidbeyislandfas.com/lori-hess

Our first workshop of the year, the Jennifer Gennari workshop in April is over-subscribed and already has a long wait list but all other workshops still have space.  We have added a Mike Hernandez workshop in late July; due to illness he was unable to do his 2022 workshop. The link is: www.whidbeyislandfas.com/mike-hernandez

Also this year we are lucky to have Henry Yan ,  Juliette Aristides, Aleah Chapin And Sarah Sedwick back.

Henry Yan, Contemporary fine artist and art instructor, is an established contemporary  artist and was a  full-time art instructor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He has been teaching drawing and oil painting for many, many  years and was  giving workshops in North America and Europe. Henry is also an author of the "Henry Yan's Figure Drawing – Techniques and Tips" book that was published in 2006. His artworks are sought after and collected around the world.

Come and join us to sharpen you drawing skills. Henry does not teach that much any more, so we are so lucky to have him!! http://www.henryyanart.com/portfolio.php
