He has more than a decade of college and university teaching experience in studio art, and more than twenty years in the art material industry with product expertise in a variety of mediums; Olson’s lectures deliver meaningful insights into the history, development, and application of artists’ materials.

August 6,  10am - 1pm

For artists at all levels, see our schedule for more information.

Then a fun one day Plein Air Refresher, with our highly acclaimed Washington painter JIM LAMB www.jimlambstudio.com. The morning starts with a demonstration and in the afternoon you will be painting. This a great way to get in shape for the plein air convention in Coupeville.

Please Note, the Dominique Medici workshop is waitlisted,   as is the Carolyn Lord watercolor workshop.

Also note:

We have Aleah Chapin, Teaching a figure drawing class in October!

Aleah is from Langley, Whidbey Island and we are very proud to have her. Aleah  is an unusual and extremely impressive  painter whose direct portrayals of the human form have expanded the conversation around western culture’s representations of the body in art.  Chapin’s work has explored aging, gender and beauty, influenced in part by the community within which she was raised. aleahchapin.com
