MOUNTAIN HERITAGE FESTIVAL CONTEST

September 14, 2023

Any Letcher County resident can enter the contest.
This is an opportunity for you to enter your handwork, food goodies, canning and etc. Enter your items on September 14, 2023 between 8:00 and 4:00 at the Letcher County Extension Office.
These contests include: Baking, Canning, Candy, Quilts, Crochet, Wall or Door Hanger, Knitting, Paper Crafting Baskets, Needlework, Woodcraft, Painting, Holiday decorations, and Scrapbooking.
Competent out-of-county judges will be secured and the decisions of these judges will be final.
Items will be on display at the Letcher County Extension Office the week of the Mountain Heritage Festival September 20-22nd, 2023

MOUNTAIN HERITAGE PHOTO CONTEST

Entry Fee: $5.00 per photograph

Amateurs Category & Professional Category
Enter as many photos as you want and in any category.

Each photo must comply with the rules:

Photos must be matted and framed.
Please include a stand for your framed photo. Photos must be 5x7 or 8x10 (NOTHING LARGER DUE TO LIMITED DISPLAY SPACE)
All photos must have proper identification to include name and phone number of contestant.
Please attach this info to the back of the frame
Photos must be turned in at the Harry M. Caudill Library on Main Street on Thursday, September 14th between the hours of 4:30-6:00 PM.
Deadline for entry is Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 6:00PM.
No Late Entries!

1. Scenic: Photos of Letcher County
2. Scenic: Photos taken outside of Letcher County
3. Reflections of the Past: Can be a person, home or scene
4. Sports: Photos of any sport
5. Portraits: Photos of any one person, family
6. Still life: Photos of flowers, fruit, etc.
7. Animals: Pets
8.  Wildlife
9.  Nature
10. Black and White
Ribbon Winning Photographs will be on display in Whitesburg at the Harry M. Caudill Library throughout the week of the festival.

As a reminder, one person for each booth must have food handlers card and this will be checked during the festival by our local health department!
