Stop by the Society’s gift shop and bookstore on Tuesday, December 6 from 4 to 7 PM for Holiday Shopping Night and take advantage of a one-time 15% discount!

Get a jump on the holidays while supporting Windsor Historical Society’s programs. Decked out for the season, the Society’s gift shop features some exciting new specialty gift items highlighting Windsor’s history and neighborhoods. Windsor mugs and stoneware, the iconic “Doors of Windsor” posters, beautiful Windsor throws, and our new “used books” section we call “History Repeats Itself” are just a few of the treats awaiting you this year. Our extensive selection of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous histories provides the perfect way to deepen your historical understanding. The shop also features an expanded selection of Windsor and Connecticut history books, unique posters and tee shirts, maps, artwork, stoneware, jewelry, and more – all at a 15% discount!

The Windsor Historical Society, founded in 1921, invites visitors to explore the people, places, and events that have shaped Windsor for over four centuries. The Society’s museum and research library is located at 96 Palisado Avenue (Route 159) and is open from 11 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday through Saturday. General admission to the library and historic houses is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students, and free to all children under 12 and WHS members. All visitors are free to browse the museum store and exhibit galleries at no charge, thanks to generous support of the Town of Windsor.
