San Francisco, CA: The Hilton San Francisco Union Square was all smiles Thursday evening April 27 as the Hotel Council of San Francisco (www.hotelcouncilsf.org) honored its own at the 18th Annual Hotel Hero Awards Gala celebrating the City’s hospitality industry. It was the first fully in-person celebration since the onset of COVID.

“It was heartwarming to bring back this event in-person and celebrate the heroes of our hospitality community who make our hotels and our city truly unparalleled,” said Alex Bastian, Hotel Council President and CEO. “San Francisco is bouncing back, strong, and tourism is leading the way with our industry’s finest at the helm.”

In addition to the honorees and a sell-out crowd of hospitality professionals, in attendance were San Francisco Mayor London N. Breed, District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, SFPD Chief Bill Scott and Deputy Chief David Lazar, City Attorney David Chiu, SF Chamber of Commerce CEO Rodney Fong, SF Travel CEO Joe D’Alessandro and Union Square Alliance CEO Marisa Rodriguez among other tourism friends and boosters. Emcee for the evening was award winning KTVU reporter and anchor Christien Kafton.
