Winter Art Exhibit: Volunteers Wanted!

Arts and Entertainment

September 26, 2012

From: Arts Foundation Of Cape Cod
The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is looking for engaged VOLUNTEERS to help manage groups of Cape Cod students as they visit our annual winter art exhibit: making waves at the Cotuit Center for the Arts.

We're specifically seeking people who have experience as a docent, a teacher or have other experience working with children.

If you would like to be on the list of volunteers interested in assisting with the school field trips, please email Program Coordinator Christine Mascott at with your contact information and availability. Trip time slots are Monday through Friday from January 7 to February 8. Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Assignments will be made before the first of the year.

About the Exhibit: The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod will present making waves at the Cotuit Center for the Arts for five weeks from January 7 to February 9, 2013. Keeping younger arts patrons in mind, art work by Cape Cod's best fine artists will be displayed at a height of 4 feet throughout the exhibit - right at children's eye level. A special mini-art library will be made available to all visitors, and the artists themselves will drop in to discuss their works with the students as they tour the exhibit. The visit to making waves is accompanied by a hands-on workshop in the Art Barn, where students will create their own piece inspired by the exhibition.
