Our production of Treasure Island, A Musical Adventure opened on Friday night to a great reception! The audience even had a few young pirates in attendance, and they absolutely loved it. Don't miss your chance to see this celebration of the pirate life and the exciting story based on the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. We have just one more weekend of shows to go, this Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Director Jeff Teague has done a fabulous job and he also created a special video to give you a glimpse of what you'll see live on our historic stage.

Reserved seats are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors 62+, and $10 for children 17 and under. Balcony tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children. Flex Pass specials and group rates are available. Box Office hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Set in the French capital in the wake of World War II (1940s), An American in Paris tells the romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl, and an indomitable European city – each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of international conflict. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning 1951 film, the new stage musical features a ravishing score by George and Ira Gershwin and incredible dance sequences. The show’s timeless musical numbers include, “I Got Rhythm,” “The Man I Love,” “Shall We Dance,” and more. 

The show is directed by Angela Baltezore with choreography by Jacob Gutiérrez-Montoya. Performances are set for Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.

Audition Announcement!

The Lightning Thief

Please join us when we audition for the much anticipated Young Adult Performers production of The Lightning Thief.

Directed by Erik Catalan

Music Direction by Jia-Min Rosendale

Sunday, March 19th and Monday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m. (Performers need only attend one evening).

Where:

WOH Rehearsal Hall

415 4th Street, Woodland

What to Bring/How to Prepare:

-Please come with sheet music to a prepared song (16-32 bars clearly marked) from a modern musical. An accompanist will be provided. Have a second (contrasting) song prepared in the event you are asked to sing again. If you are auditioning for a specific role, consider using a song the character sings in the show.

-Dress to move. Clean sneakers or jazz shoes, no flip flops, sandals, or bare feet.

-Bring a list of conflicts for rehearsals. Conflicts will affect casting and are not allowed after June 9, 2023.

-To expedite the process, please start your audition form ahead of time by going to Cast98. All auditionees will need to complete an online form prior to auditions, any additional information on how to set up your online Cast98 profile can be found here.

Other things to consider:

-This is a young adult production. Actors must be between the ages of 14-24 (13 year-old actors that are rising high school freshmen may audition).

-Keep in mind The Lightning Thief is a modern rock musical. Actors auditioning for the characters of Percy, Annabeth and Clarisse should display their belt and rock style.

All roles are open. We promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in our casting.

We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our students and community by following the guidelines provided by Yolo County and the CDC. In accordance with the latest guidelines, the Theatre And Dance Annex (TADA) is now masks optional. We highly encourage families to make the best decision for their students. We will still have masks available on hand and will be following proper sanitization standards to ensure a healthy environment for all. TADA is located at 520 Court Street, Woodland. Hours are Monday - Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Phone: (530) 650-8203.

Are you missing anything? Perhaps it is currently making its home in our Lost and Found at TADA. Please come claim your items this week during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 4 to 7 pm or during our Saturday class schedule.  

Teen/Adult Class Openings

Ballet for Musical Theatre

We currently have openings in our ongoing Ballet for Musical Theatre class held every Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 6:55 p.m. This class is perfect for those who wish to develop their dance foundations but are hesitant to take a formal ballet class. This is a great class for actors!

Class is taught by Ania Mieszkowska.

Tuition: $60/month
