Madagascar - A Musical Adventure

We're so excited for This Friday, as it's the opening of our Theatre For Families production of Madagascar - A Musical Adventure! It's a guarantee that all ages will love this wonderful & witty production. Based on the well known DreamWorks animated film, Madagascar, the story follows lovable characters: Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo as they venture outside their home of New York's Central Park Zoo and embark on an unforgettable journey to King Julien's Madagascar.

The show runs for just 3 weekends, so don't miss out! Performances on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 p.m., April 22 - May 8. Pricing: Adults $16, Seniors (62+) $14, Children (17 and under) $8. Balcony $10 Adults, $5 (17 and under).

Back by popular demand! Fun-filled souvenir bags will be sold at each performance of Madagascar - A Musical Adventure. Souvenir bags are $10 each with all proceeds supporting our Education Program. Bags are filled with animal-themed gifts, including animal-ear headbands, animal sunglasses, animal cookies and more! Perfect for all Madagascar fans!

Early Giving Starts THIS Thursday, April 21!

Early giving starts in just a couple of days, on Thursday, April 21! You may want to take advantage of this and make your donation…that way you won’t have to worry about forgetting. ;)

All donations that are received from April 21 through BDOG on May 5th count toward our total goal. If you have a Golden 1 Credit Union debit or credit card, your money will go farther. Classes for Youth & Adults

Dance classes for all ages open!

Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Cardio & Hip Hop. Come join the fun!

We are committed to protecting the health and safety of our students and community by following the guidelines provided by Yolo County and the CDC.

As of March 12th, in accordance with the latest CDC guidelines, TADA is now masks optional. We highly encourage families to make the best decision for their students. We will still have masks available on-hand and will be following proper sanitization standards to ensure a healthy environment for all.

Spring Break Reminder A simple reminder to our families:

TADA is closed for our Spring Break this week through Friday, April 22.  

We will re-open Saturday, April 23, and we hope our families enjoy their week off! 

We're currently accepting applications for two open positions within our education program.

Outreach Educators

We are seeking talented and proactive individuals for our Theatre and Dance Annex’s (TADA) Outreach Program. These positions are part-time and represent the WOH off-site at local elementary and middle schools in the community. This position may also have an opportunity to serve as an office backup when needed at either our box office or TADA for more hours. 

Show Biz Kidz Instructor:

Seeking an experienced Theatre Educator for our annual summer camp program Show Biz Kidz. This position will work with staff and students to teach classes musical choreography, acting, and staging for a fully produced musical review. The deadline for this position is April 30, 2022.

The long-anticipated Fall Schedule will be released next week! We will make a big announcement, so families will not miss out on enrolling for their favorite classes. If you are a currently enrolled TADA family, you will receive a notice through Jackrabbit next week. 

Youth Workshops

Show Biz Kidz Junior Session – Only 4 Spots Left!

Morning and Afternoon are Wait List Only! 

Do you have a child who is 5 through 7 years old and are you looking for something fun for them to do this summer? Have them join our Show Biz Kidz Junior Session!

This session meets three days a week for an hour class. Students will learn musical numbers to present in our annual Show Biz Kidz performances July 15 through 17. Help them gain confidence, learn new skills, and get them out of the house for a bit this summer! Don’t hesitate to enroll today – these spots will fill up quickly!

Our Morning (8 to 10 years old) and Afternoon (11 to 17 years old) Sessions are filled and are WAIT LIST ONLY at this point. To get on the wait list, please email Martha at: [email protected]

80’s Stretch and Dance Cardio & Musical Theatre Dance!

Join Jeff Teague for double the fun on Thursday nights! Whether it’s to stretch and sweat, or to get a leg up on your next round of dance auditions, dancing with Jeff is sure to be the highlight of your week!

Stretch and Dance Cardio at 6:00 p.m.

Musical Theatre Dance at 7:00 p.m.

These classes will run until June 2.

Making summer plans? Be sure to include a fun theatre experience on your list of things to do. The classic comedy, Bye Bye Birdie will be on our main stage June 17 - July 10 and it will be a production that you will not want to miss! Directed and choreographed by the incredible Staci Arriaga, the show will be filled with great dance numbers to go along with the 1950s and Rock & Roll themes of this hilarious musical.
