North Port, FL -- North Port Parks & Recreation Department is ready to get groovy at Woofstock 2024 at a new location - Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd.! Taking place on Feb. 10, 2024 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., this free event gives dogs and their humans a chance to browse vendor booths, enjoy K-9 demonstrations and meet new friends while participating in games. Parking is available throughout Butler Park.

Want to feel warm and fuzzy? Bring some dog food or supplies to donate. The City is collecting these items to give to a local pet shelter after the event. Dogs looking for their ‘fur’ever home will be onsite at Woofstock and ready for adoption. Other highlights of the day include dog-costume contest and raffle drawings for an opportunity to win small prizes. More information to come. All dogs in attendance must be vaccinated, display current tags and be on a leash throughout the event. Handlers must be at least 18 years old. Any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs shall immediately be removed from the park by its handler. Handlers are responsible for removing and disposing of dog waste.
