Goals and Objectives

The chapter's mission is to represent AARP at the local level, providing a link between members, communities and the Association's programs and services. The chapter's leadership and commitment to volunteerism is an invaluable resource in strengthening the Association and making our communities better places to live and work for all people.

Community Service: Create and enhance opportunities for members to be involved in activities that address a platform of community needs.

Leadership: Develop members' skills and potential to assume positions of increasing responsibility within their chapter, their community and the Association.

Communication : Facilitate the exchange of information between members and the Association.

Recruitment: Increase chapter and Association membership, ensuring continued growth with greater member diversity.

Fellowship: Conduct activities in a manner that fosters congeniality and friendship.

Advocacy: Participate actively in addressing issues that have an impact on members and their communities, in accordance with Association policies, practices and positions.

Education: Impart knowledge that is useful to individuals and the community through programming that may include Association materials.
