AFS Intercultural Programs is a non-profit exchange program organization for high school students. AFS (formerly the American Field Service) is a leader in intercultural learning and offers international exchange programs in more than 40 countries around the world. We've been exchanging students for 60 years. That's six decades of history and experience in international education with an exemplary record of safety, security, and service to students, parents, and educators.


Every year we send approximately 1,600 American students abroad and we receive about 2,500 foreign exchange students in the US eager to learn about the American culture. We rely on volunteer families to welcome them into their hearts, homes and communities. We are looking for host families in the Western Maryland area.
