Albion Area Chamber Of Commerce

P. O. Box 82
618-445-2303

Albion Area Chamber Of Commerce not only serves Albion but all of Edwards County. Nestled in the heart of Southeastern Illinois, Edwards County is 222 square miles of farmland and communites with gorgeous, rural surroundings.

With a population of nearly 7,000 individuals, Edwards County is both large enough to provide the amenities progress and success have to offer, and small enough for its residents and visitors to thoroughly experience the joys of southern Illinois living including the richness of the people who make up the communities of Albion, Bone Gap, Browns, Ellery, Grayville, and West Salem.

Albion boasts a number of "firsts" in its history. Soon after they founded the city in 1818, city leaders started the first Chamber of Commerce, the first public library and the first county agricultural fair in the State of Illinois. Albion is also home to the oldest Episcopal Church in the Springfield Diocese. Later, in 1948, Edwards County was the first in the state to form a consolidated school district.

The unique Moravian Church and Cemetery in West Salem is an interesting place to visit. It's the only Moravian Church in Illinois.
