Church History

On June 12, 1972, Father William McKay was named Pastor of a new parish in East Mesa. Bishop McCarthy approved the name of All Saints in September, 1972. Early Masses were held in the Velda Rose Motel, Farnsworth Hall, Father McKay's home chapel, and Melcher's Mission Chapel before the first Mass was celebrated in the new church on October 26, 1974. The dedication and blessing by Bishop McCarthy followed on February 23, 1975. The hall and parking spaces were added in 1975.

In 1978, All Saints parish was divided and Holy Cross was established. In 1982, for the 10th Anniversary, Bishop O'Brien joined in the burning of the mortgage. Bishop's Hall was added a few years later.

Father McKay retired in 1995, however, still remains very active at All Saints, celebrating daily and weekend Masses. He was elevated to Monsignor in early 2002 for all his dedicated years of service, and many contributions to the parish and community throughout those years.

Father Robert Caruso became the second Pastor of All Saints.
