Allentown Parks and Recreation

3000 Parkway Boulevard

Take the time to stroll through one of Allentown's pastoral parks, or enjoy an outdoor band concert in West Park on a warm summer's night. Maybe you would prefer renting a pedal boat at Muhlenberg Lake, or playing a game of basketball, tennis, volleyball with your friends.

If you enjoy fishing, you'll love the Little Lehigh Creek, Cedar Creek, Jordan Creek or Trout Creek. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission has given our waterways Class A and B rankings. Adjacent to the Fish Hatchery (which is open year 'round from dawn to dusk and ranked highest in the State) is a fly fishing area along the Little Lehigh Creek. This area has the most trout per water acre of any stream section surveyed by the Commission.

Be sure to visit Allentown's old fashioned Rose Gardens with their magnificent display of colorful flowers and lagoons filled with water lilies. The Gardens have served as the background for thousands of wedding pictures.
