Mission Statement
The Antelope Valley Soccer Club "Ambush" strives to provide an environment in which young soccer players can develop their skills to the highest level possible. It is also our mission to develop these players as positive members of our community.
About Us
The Ambush Soccer Club provides supplemental training support for each team when possible. The club head coach, as well as other experienced coaches and trainers, will advise and assist other coaches. However, each coach has the freedom to play the system they wish, and the autonomy to stress particular aspects of the game that they feel is necessary.
The club strives to develop true soccer skills and tactics. Young teams, and their coaches, are encouraged to avoid "long ball" and "kick and run" playing styles. Rather, ball control and passing, and highly developed tactics, are preferred. While winning may be sacrificed to some degree among the younger teams, the dividends as the teams progress are immeasurable.
The ultimate goals of the club are to 1) Develop individual soccer skills, 2) Introduce and master advanced soccer tactics, 3) Develop player's ability to function within a team, and for the team. 4) Supplement the players social and educational development in an extreme positive fashion, 5) Enhance opportunities for Olympic Development selection, and 6) Provide the opportunity and visibility to obtain college scholarships.
