Andy's Specialty Garlic and Produce
We're accepting new members for the 2011 season at Andy's Specialty Garlic & Produce CSA in Newark.
As a member you will receive 7-12 items in your share box each week for 18 weeks. We grow 35 different kinds of vegetables(organically, but not certified). We expect to have 8 or 9 items in the first box in mid June! Our focus is growing a wide variety of healthy, local, nutrient dense food sustainably and without chemicals. Pick up locations are in Mendon and Henrietta. Share cost is $500 for the season. You can go to www.andysspecialtygarlicproduce.com for more information and to print out a sign up form.
We are a family run farm located near Newark that strives to grow the best and the freshest produce you can find. We use sustainable, chemical free growing methods. Cover cropping, crop rotations, manure(from our free range egg layers and goats) and certified organic fertilizers and minerals are some of the things we use to keep our ground in top shape. Our family eats everything we grow, so the nutrition content of our vegetables is important for us as well as you. We believe our health is tied to the health of the soil where our food is grown, and much of the food today is lacking many of the essential nutrients and minerals needed for good health. Our CSA runs for 18 weeks and we grow over 35 different kinds of vegetables.
At Andy's Specialty Garlic and Produce, we are committed to sustainable growing without the use of pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or any synthetic fertilizers. We grow on 14 acres of our own land, plus 6 acres of rented land. We run an 18 week CSA, and deliver to Lori's Natural Foods. We also sell pastured eggs, raw honey, and in June we will have our first strawberry crop.
