Assistance League of Montgomery County is a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to serving the communities of Montgomery County through its philanthropic programs.

  • Operation School Bell is the largest program and provides new clothes and shoes to school children.
  • Always Ask is a poison information program that utilizes storytelling and puppetry to convey its positive message to preschool and kindergarten children.
  • The Tender Loving Care Dolls Program provides handmade dolls to county agencies that counsel children in crisis and/or senior adults in fragile health.
  • The Fans and Blankets for Friends Program helps seniors stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
  • Assault Survivor Kits are provided to adult victims of abuse or assault.
  • Passports to Good Health are provided to infants, children and senior adults to record important immunization records or medical information.
  • Scholarships are provided to high school seniors to assist them in earning a degree in the social sciences from a 4-year university.
  • The Pass-it-on Program donates items from the Thrift Shop to county agencies that in-turn donate them to people in need.
  • Community Outreach is an umbrella program that allows Assistance League to meet community needs on a one-time or short-term basis.

ALMC operates a Thrift Shop in the heart of downtown Conroe that generates the majority of the income needed to fund the philanthropic programs.
