Mission:

We are committed to serving the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas of our lives, but "missions" in the local church can be a sometimes confusing and complex area of ministry! We, at Bacton, are making it very simple to be involved in missions... locally as well as cross-culturally.

The Missions Committee of BHBC meets monthly to determine the ministry needs and ministry areas that are important to our congregation. The Missions Chairperson is Amy Shaw; Treasurer: Allyn Greeney; Secretary: Norma Hendrickson; Committee members: Bob DiAddezio and Pastor Jeff Sherwood. Bacton is currently financially and prayerfully supporting thirteen missionaries and three organizations. Many in our congregation have had the great opportunity to serve the Lord on short-term ministry trips. We would like missions involvement to become a natural outflow of our congregation, and be a natural part of everyone's lifestyle. We strive to do this by encouraging involvement with our missionaries and their families, prayer, giving, going on short-term trips, and education through conferences and weekly missions information each Sunday.
