History:

The history of Baden Elementary School started in the early l900's . The original Baden School building opened its doors as Prince George's County's first Agricultural High School, in 1912. Our present facility was constructed adjacent to the original building site in 1969. The school was designed around the idea that a school could be the center of a community. We offer a unique rural setting, in a primarily urban-suburban school system. Baden Elementary has the following facilities attached to its physical plant: the Baden Branch of the Prince George's County Public Library System, the Greater Baden Medical Clinic, and a Maryland National Capital Park and Planning facility. Currently, we have a four day a week program for three year olds, through Maryland National Capital Park and Planning. Our enrollment in our Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade program is approximately 400 students. As a comprehensive elementary school we serve the communities of Aquasco, Baden, Brandywine, Croom, and Eagle Harbor. As a staff, we apply the theories of the Dr. James Comer in our school's decision-making and educational process.
