Barrington Women's Club to hold first dog costume parade scholarship fundraiser

BARRINGTON The Barrington Women's Club is hosting its first dog costume parade scholarship fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Barrington Middle School, 11am to 1pm. 

Winners will be chosen for the scariest, best dressed, funniest, creative, cutest, original, best pawsonality ,best dog & owner combined costumes. 

Also on hand will be an agility show 'n go and CGC testing by Diane Ellis, dog trainer. Agility show times are 9 am to 3 pm at the same location. There will be a sign up sheet for a future class in dog first aid with the American Red Cross. 

So come and spend some time with your furry friend and enjoy good music and food, various vendors, raffles and 50/50 and maybe go home with a prize or a picture of you and your pet. Donations are from: Yellow Dog, Pet Paradise, Pet Au Pair sitting, Mary Kay, World Wide Chocolate, Warren's Hardware, Margarettas, Aubuchon and Tastefully Simple. 

Dogs must be leashed and under handlers' control at all times.
