The Mission of the Beekman Library shall be to assure effective, expanding, free library service for the community of Beekman and to lead citizens in anticipating their future needs for library services. It shall also be the aim of the Library to educate the public regarding library standards.
Serve the community as a general center of reliable information.Administer a collection of books and materials possessing cultural, educational, informational and recreational value.Promote the public use of library materials through active stimulation and guidance.
Provide opportunity and encouragement for people of all ages to educate themselves continuously.Provide a library building with adequate room for all materials, adequate space for library business, a safe and cheery environment for patrons and staff, defined traffic patterns in the interior and exterior, one that will meet building codes and library standards.
