About Us:

In 1936, a dream became a reality when the Teaneck Symphony Orchestra was formed. Its Certificate of Incorporation states "... the purpose for which this corporation is formed is to promote and further the appreciation and understanding of fine music and to provide an opportunity for those with an interest  and love of music to perform with others for the enjoyment of the general public." This distinguished group today is known as the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. For the past 73 years, the orchestra has been committed to the enhancement of the musical life of Bergen County and surrrounding areas by reaching out to the young as well as the adults.  The goal of the orchestra, continues to be to provide artistic excellence on the part of the conductor and musicians, as well as to present programs the public will truly enjoy.
