Bethel Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in El Sobrante, California. We are not part of a denomination, convention, or organized hierarchy. We believe that the local church is self-governing under the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible alone. We do not believe that there is any higher authority. As a church we choose our own associations based upon the Word of God. We are historical Baptists. We believe that there have always been Bible believing and practicing churches, known by different names; and that Baptists historically have been a people that believe and practice the Bible.
