For Christian community that is suppose to show lots of love and compassion, these teachers need to understand also to show love and compassion to strangers as well. This goes for Mister Barton, a history teacher i believe who should really show compassion when addressing a problem. If you have a problem, please show respect and kindness when addressing the problem instead of making a fool out of yourself and strangers. Maybe then these kids will respect you more and also open themselves up to you :)
Being a former student here, I truly believe things may have changed from the hidden bully by both students and teachers playing favoritism when I was enrolled to knowing that now they open arms to international children who can experience not ONLY the American life but also the Christian life and living well.
Well I guess I've been fooled to believe there has been improvement in this church and school. So parents, before you put your child in this church and school, please do much much research and instead of asking the administration how their staff is, ask the children instead.
I have recently found out these international students with parents that pay GREAT amount of money for them to attend to this "school", smoke weed and do drugs in the restrooms and proudly post this on social media such as snapchat and instagram, yet oddly these minors are not being monitored at all which means that this is not a safe environment for children to be attending school in if the administration is taking this very lightly. However, this is understandable of why the administration has not expelled these international students BECAUSE their parents pay a great amount of money to keep the school barely surviving on their feet. You have been warned. This is not a school. This is a business. You have been warned.

I agree with Sandy’s review about this school. It is gettting worse over years. Please send your children to a bigger and better Catholic private school right across the street, Saint Barbara School, for your children’s sake.

This review is based on the 2013- 2014 school year. At the time I was hosting a family where the son came for mexico and was struggling (lost) in the system. He enrolled in the school and the result were nothing short of a miracle. In november, the student was failing every class, and was confused. by January, he had his first A on a test (in his life). Not only were the teachers dedicated in helping him, one teacher even visited the home once a week and help him study. That helped the student from going through the motions (because he did not understand the language) to really studying and "getting it"
Note that this experience would not have been as successful if the family was not an active participant in the process as well.
Based on my experience, the school is reasonably prices and the teachers make a huge difference in the results. I hope your experience will be as fruitful as mine.
