Bethel Church formed as an offshoot of Union Methodist Church in 1905,and built its first building on a site nestled between acres of beautiful farmland in Taylor County, Ga. In an effort to have a greater visibility and presence in the community,it moved about two miles to a location on Highway 19 in the 1960s. Bethel Church is a Congregational Methodist Church (CMC). The Congregational Methodist Church is Wesleyan in doctrine,congregational in worship and polity, missionary in outlook,evangelistic in endeavor, and is committed to equipping and encouraging its people to live lives of holiness before God.
