About Us:

Founded in 1983, providing residential, vocational, and recreational supports to adults and adolescents with autism.

Bittersweet is a private non-profit that offers an array of premier services to adults and adolescents with autism delivered in the context of an agricultural community. Our unique model offers individuals supports that allow them to grow and develop their abilities and talents in an agricultural setting. The farm produces products that are offered for sale to support employment of those with autism.

We have 4 campuses: Whitehouse, Pemberville, Lima, and Middletown. Our success relies on providing meaningful activities, in partnership with an empathetic and committed staff in a structured environment where there is opportunity for plenty of healthy exercise.

As a private non-profit, we rely on the generosity and partnership of the community to be able to provide quality services to these individuals and their families.
