Mission Statement :

The Bloomington Area Arts Council supports public participation in the arts by developing, strengthening, and promoting the cultural resources of Bloomington and Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Monroe and Owen Counties.

The BAAC fulfills its mission by directly supporting artists and arts organizations in the five-county region and by managing the John Waldron Arts Center

Goals :

Develop, strengthen and promote artists and arts organizations in the five-county area
Catalyze economic and community development through the arts
Increase visibility and public awareness of Bloomington's cultural resources
Promote life-long learning in the arts
Improve the long-term stability of the BAAC, thereby strengthening our capacity to fulfill our mission and goals.
