About Us:

The Blue Ridge Arts Center is located in the historic district of Seneca, among the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills of upstate South Carolina.  Its gallery is housed in the city's oldest church structure (1882), which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The facilities are maintained by the Blue Ridge Arts Council, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization.

In this original church sanctuary you will find our permanent art collection as well as the Gallery, featuring a variety of exhibits throughout the year. The Studios offer art classes for all ages, demonstrations, workspace for artist members and meeting space.  The Art Library provides art reference books, videos and instructional materials in various mediums. Annual exhibits include a Members Show and a Student Exhibit.

Art classes, workshops and presentations are an integral part of BRAC's purpose.  A summer "smART Camp" for children is offered each summer for ages 4 through 12. Many off-site programs are under the direction of BRAC such as the Picture Person Program for local Elementary Schools, Member-Artist Displays at various venues, and Make-it-Take-it Projects at Oconee County events.  BRAC is sustained by it's generous members, donors and public and private grants.
