The mission of Bon Air Middle School is to provide a safe academic environment where students can become responsible citizens.

About Us:

Bon Air Middle School, a grade 6, 7, 8 facility, has an enrollment of approximately 340 students. It is one of 4 middle schools in the Kokomo-Center Township Consolidated School Corporation. Bon Air Middle School is located in a residential district on the north side of Kokomo. Bon Air Middle School was built in 1961. In 1991, the middle school underwent a three and one-half million dollar renovation. This renovation was completed in 1993. The main administrative office is located just inside the main entrance to the middle school. The office is staffed with a secretary-treasurer, an academic counselor, a principal and an assistant principal. Health services are available and are located by the elementary school office. A school social worker serves both Bon Air Elementary and Middle School.

The middle school faculty includes 32 professional staff members, 8 paraprofessionals, and a variety of support staff in the area of cafeteria sevices and maintenance. The faculty of Bon Air Middle School is as diverse as the subjects taught. The blending of personalities, skills, talents and a team approach offers students a personal, cooperative and diverse approach to education.

Parental involvement is important at Bon Air Middle School. The school has an active Parent Teacher Organization and also has a Parent Advisory Committee that coordinates parent volunteer activities.

Goals:

The school has 3 major learning goals which are integrated into the teachers' instructional plans. They are as follows:

All students will improve their written communication skills in all areas across the curriculum.

All students will increase their ability to apply problem-solving in all areas of the curriculum.

All students will have a positive and safe school experience as a result of parents, school staff and community members working collaboratively.
