Irwin Borough is located in southwestern Pennsylvania approximately 35 miles East of Pittsburgh and 15 miles West of Greensburg, the Westmoreland County Seat. Irwin boasts an active downtown business district with quiet residential neighborhoods and several beautiful recreational parks. Irwin Borough was incorporated in 1864 and is governed by a seven-member Council and Mayor. We have 4,366 community minded residents in our 1 square mile. Irwin's children attend school in the Norwin School District.
