Boy Scout Troop 131

621 South Rangeline Road
317-844-7275

Monthly campouts. High-adventure trips every year. Weekly meetings. Service projects. There’s always something happening at Troop 131.

Our unit was first Chartered February 2, 1969 at Carmel United Methodist Church. Over the years we’ve helped 150 boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scouts. Currently, we average about 5 Eagle Scouts a year.

We’re a boy-led Troop. That means the boys run the meetings with oversight from the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters. We have approximately 55 Scouts divided into five patrols.

We meet weekly at 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights at the Church, conveniently located near the heart of downtown Carmel, Indiana on South Range Line Road. While our chartered organization is a Methodist church, our Troop is open to young men of all faiths.

We camp year round (yes, even during the winter). Each summer our Troop also spends a week at Ransburg Scout Reservation for summer camp. Plus, we plan a high adventure trip each year.
