Brighton Heritage Museum

Brighton Heritage Museum
202 South Main Street
618-372-3536

The Brighton Heritage Museum opened in May of 1993 and during it's first year of operation, 550 visitors passed through it's doors.

Located at 202 S. Main St., the museum features hundreds of photographs, articles of clothing and artifacts that document Brighton's history; the homes, the businesses and the people.

A great deal of war memorabilia is featured, as well as American Indian artifacts, farm items and much more, including a piece of cap stone from the Washington Monument that belonged to J. E. Andrews, who helped in the final construction of the monument.

You can also view a beautiful bicentennial quilt made by the ladies of Brighton.

For more information, call June Wilderman, President of the Brighton Heritage Group and Brighton Historian, at 618-372-3536.
