About Us

Calvary Baptist Church in Bishop is a community church family - a group of people who are striving to be characterized by grace and who are bringing a message of hope to people in our valley and throughout the world. Because of the love and grace we have personally received from God through Christ, we worship, learn, pray, and serve together, working to live out our purpose of... loving all people to Christ and helping them in their journey with God and with each other.

Our desire is to be a community in which people feel welcomed and accepted. If you've been away from church - for whatever reason - we are here to welcome you back. If you are new to church, we are here to introduce you to a relationship, not a religion. We would welcome the opportunity to know you, and introduce you to our leader, Christ Jesus. As you come to know us, you will discover He is the leader of our church and the leader of our individual lives.
