History

At the request of the South Wisconsin District of our Lutheran church - Missouri Synod, Rev. Arthur Senn began to canvass the Princeton area in May of 1989. Calvary's first Bible study/fellowship was held in the basement of the Methodist Church on October 22, 1989. In February 1990, the mission moved to the chapel in the Sunnyview Nursing Home and was officially organized on April 29, 1990. In February 1991, with LCEF loan, the mission purchased its present site and used a remodeled house as its first worship and education unit. The first service was held on this site on August 4, 1991.

In January 1993, the congregation called Pastor William Lewis who was installed as Calvary's pastor on March 28, 1993. Following a successful funding campaign, on Palm Sunday of 1994 the congregation broke ground for its first unit with the dedication on January 22, 1995.
