In Carlinville Illinois, we are focused on providing the educational opportunities that will enable each of our students to reach his/her potential. To attain this objective, our Board of Education and our dedicated employees work with the community to develop goals that will guide our curriculum and instruction. For this reason, Carlinville schools have long been noted for their academic excellence and student achievement.

An example of this excellence is the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) endorsement of Carlinville Community Unit School District #1 as a Transitions district. The Transitions recognition is the regional accrediting commission's highest level of recognition. Carlinville School District's five schools are part of only 24 schools across NCA CASI's 19 state region that received this recognition in 2006.

To ensure this academic success, Carlinville School District (CUSD#1) employs well educated and highly qualified professionals who are dedicated to ensuring that each of the CUSD#1's students receives an outstanding educational experience. To maintain this quality, CUSD#1 encourages the entire community's involvement and feedback.
