Cascade Head Music Festival

The Cascade Head Music Festival has been called, "A little jewel in the form of a festival—small enough to be supported by the area but high enough in quality to qualify as a world class artistic endeavor." This classical chamber music series returns to Lincoln City for the 20th year. As a music critic for the Oregonian has said, "The truth? There are times when the Cascade Head Music Festival is as good as it gets. On an American night, in an American town, in a beautiful cloister that isn't a cloister after all."

Sergiu Luca, Artistic Director, brings innovative programming and internationally renowned musicians to Lincoln City for three weeks each June. Cascade Head Music Festival audiences have come to expect eclectic and exciting music made by friends and colleagues who enjoy performing together and sharing the beauties of the Oregon coast.

"What's It All About?" will be the theme of the 21th Annual Cascade Head Music Festival June 9 to 24, 2007 in Lincoln City, Oregon. It's about six distinctive composers and the unique qualities of their music.

For the first time, the CHMF will focus in depth on six different master composers. Each concert will explore the special qualities of one great composer's work, along with music by others that illuminates particular aspects of his style or influence.

The Festival will feature Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bartok, Brahms, Debussy, and Schubert, with each program designed to give you a richer appreciation of the singular achievements and distinction of one composer.
