Cedarbrook Elementary School officially opened its doors to students on September 5, 1967, with 360 students in attendance. Cedarbrook was the first new elementary school built in Painesville since the 1930’s and remains the newest of all the school buildings for the district. Cedarbrook is a one-floor structure, located on an eleven-acre site in the southwest corner of the city and was built at a cost of $470,000.
