The purpose of the Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "Eight Recovery Principles," based on the Beatitudes.

This experience allows us to be changed by God's power within the safe environment of a caring group of people. As we begin to grow spiritually, we become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors (Hurts, Hang Up's, & Habits). We become free from anger, depression, fear, hurts, negative attitudes &thoughts, and longstanding addictions.

This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger relationship with God and others. As we progress through the ministry we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Savior Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power

What Are Hurts, Habits and Hang-Ups?

Hurts are the feelings that evolve around an emotional reaction to another person's behavior or to a disturbing situation (abuse, abandonment, codependency, divorce, relationship issues, etc.).

A HABIT is an addiction to someone or something (alcoholism, drugs, food, gambling, sex, shopping, smoking, etc.).

HANG-UPS are negative mental attitudes that are used to cope with people or adversity (anger, depression, fear, unforgiveness, etc.).

All three hinder us from living the life that God desires us to have. A life that is exciting, vibrant, and full of the peace and joy that only Christ can provide.
