Mission

Our mission is to provide proactive developmental support to parents, teachers, and students located in Gainesville City and Greater Hall County by offering a variety of services, including alcohol and tobacco prevention, adolescent mentor training, individual and family counseling, and released-time religious education.

History
:

In 1967, four local Gainesville City churches—First United Methodist, First Presbyterian, Grace Episcopal, and Saint Paul United Methodist—began work on establishing an organization and program that would afford students at Gainesville High School the opportunity to voluntarily supplement their public education with classes in Christian Education. Their work paid off. In 1969, the Christian Education Centers, Inc. opened its doors to the community for service. Over the last 39 years, the Center has expanded its ministries beyond Christian Education, to include adolescent and family counseling, alcohol and tobacco prevention, and adolescent mentoring. In 2003, in order to reflect its current broad field of services, the Center adopted the moniker "Center Point."
