About Us:

In 1966, nearly 100 ambitious people had a dream and a passion for a church in the community of Chadwick, Illinois, that would be passionate about proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord and uncompromised about obeying His Word, the Bible.  Now almost 50 years later, only a handful of those original people remain.  Those few, along with many other new faces continue that original passion and dream.

The Chadwick Evangelical Free Church exists to glorify God by raising up disicple making followers of Jesus Christ.  Our foundation remains the infallible Word of God.  Chadwick EFC is much more regional in its outreach now, drawing from all corners of Carroll County, yet remaining just a passionate as those original people to proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Today, we lean toward a more mixed worship style but without compromising the message of the Gospel. God's Word never changes, but styles and ministries do.  We seek in all of our endeavors to be culturally relevant to the people of Carroll County while standing firm upon and not compromising the unchanging Word of God.  In everything we strive to love God, love people and to serve our community.

God continues to allow the Chadwick Evangelical Free Church to grow - in the number of people that call it their church home - and in the spiritual maturity of those people.  Together we continue to worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ - all in the Name of Jesus! 

Reverend Terry Komrska is the pastor of the Chadwick Evangeical Free Church.  Pastor Terry heard the call to ministry in 1980 while serving in the United States Air Force. Since then, he has developed strong Bible teaching and preaching skills and has successfully designed, implemeted, and directed ministries for children and youth, as well as establishing successful ministries among adults. He has also served as a counselor, written, directed and produced many plays, and has played and sung in a number of musical groups and bands.  Pastor Terry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elmhurst College.  He also hold a Masters of Divinity degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. A full-time pastor since 1990, Pastor Terry’s passion is to help people grasp the true meaning of biblical faith and to make it real in their everyday lives. Pastor Terry, his wife Tamera, and their daughter Jeana, are very glad to be located in Carroll County.
