About Us:

Chinese Independent Baptist Church of Fremont is a local body of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ with roots as an independent Baptist congregation. The church was planted in the fourth largest population city in the bay area with hopes of reaching people from Asian and other ethnic backgrounds. Today, CIBC-Fremont remains focused in their mission of making an eternal difference in the Tri-City area of Fremont, Union City, Newark and beyond.

From the vision of the pastoral staff and members from Chinese Independent Baptist Church of Oakland, a core of families met regularly to established CIBC-Fremont. In 1993, the first service was held in a church member’s home and later, the church rented space in the Ardenwood Plaza. Sunday services were held in both English and Cantonese. Eventually, the church ministry moved to a temporarily location at Alder Avenue Baptist Church before finding a place of permanency in a renovated office building at 37220 Maple Street in Fremont.

In 2003, the church purchased a building from Fremont Bible Fellowship church and moved into its now existing facility at 37365 Centralmont Place in the Centerville neighborhood of Fremont. During the tenth anniversary year, CIBC-Fremont became autonomous featuring close to fifty charter members. Presently, the church remains healthy with a balance of worship, fellowship, mission, discipleship and service. CIBC-Fremont is proud to serve the Lord in expanding His kingdom around world.
