Chino Rotary Club

About Rotary Club

Chino Rotary Club was founded in 1925 in a farming community of dairy farms, alfalfa fields and grazing pastures. Today the club is in the middle of a growing area of southern California that is changing from rural to metropolitan. Chino Rotary Club has served the community's youth and seniors and also internationally with money donated for the eradication of polio. We are committed to continuing this service as we support Rotary President William Boyd's theme "Lead The Way".

What is Rotary?

Chino Rotary Club is part of an international organization of 1.2 million service-minded business and professional leaders in over 31,000 Rotary Clubs in 165 nations and geographical areas.

Rotary International is the world's oldest and most widespread service organization, founded in 1905 by Paul Harris, a Chicago attorney, who wanted to encourage among his business acquaintances the fellowship he had known in his boyhood days in a small town in Vermont.

Service and fellowship are hallmarks of Chino Rotary and Rotarians worldwide. The Rotary motto "Service Above Self", guides the actions of individual clubs as they plan projects to promote literacy, provide clean, safe water in developing countries, fight hunger and health concerns at the local and international levels and to eradicate polio. Through this shared commitment, Rotarians develop a feeling of fellowship that extends beyond their clubs, communities and countries to encompass the Rotary world.
