ChristyFest is an annual festival held in Townsend, Tennessee to celebrate Christy the Classic novel by Catherine Marshall as well as the TV series and movies. Cast members, producers, writers, directors and crew from both productions come to ChristyFest to share memories, mingle with fans and enjoy the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains where the TV Series was filmed.

The festival began in 1997 as a small gathering of fans sharing their love for the television show and has continued to grow. While Christy is still our legacy, ChristyFest participants have expanded their interests to such attractions as mountain crafts, herbal medicines, music, history and early mountain culture. ChristyFest events and presentations also feature nationally known experts in a variety of subjects of interest to Christy enthusiasts.

ChristyFest attendees come from all over and newcomers are always welcome. If you are new, we have a special little corner to get you started. The engaging, down-home spirit of ChristyFest will soon embrace you - there is no doubt that many of the friendships made at ChristyFest will, in fact, last forever.
