Ashby is a small, friendly community located in a setting of beautiful lakes, farms and scenic woodlands. Ashby has a thriving business district; including a medical clinic, an assisted living facility, many retail stores and a full line of professional services. Ashby is protected by a volunteer fire department and ambulance service.  Ashby is also protected by its own police department. In addition to numerous clubs and service organizations, there are a variety of denominational churches in and around the area.
