Clagett Farm

Clagett Farm
11904 Old Marlboro Pike

We have a vegetable CSA, called From the Ground Up, on 20 acres. Our pick-up sites include the farm and Dupont Circle in Washington DC, and our members always have a list of crops they can you-pick for free any time at the farm. Clagett Farm also raises grass-fed beef and operates a native tree nursery. As a property of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, we take school trips on educational field trips of the farm and the nearby Patuxent River ( And all summer, we welcome individuals who would like to come work for vegetables, Monday-Saturdays.

We are committed stewards of our environment, and distribute 40-50% of our produce to low-income individuals in D.C. We raise a wide variety of vegetables, as well as a few melons and strawberries. One share typically feeds 2 adults.
