The Claremont Library has recently been updated on the inside with new modern furniture in the "teen" area. They have some tables with plugs for laptops and several dozen computers you can get time on. They have a coin operated microfilm and copier machines. The Friends of the Library are active and sell old books and records, some of them rare.

This is a great local library. Part of the LA County Library system, you can order books from any library in the system (one of the largest in the country) and have it sent to Claremont. Get books, video, cds, and other items. Recently remodeled children's section is wonderful and enjoyed by many. There's a multipurpose room where they hold events, and the Friends of the Library sell books at very reasonable prices. You can't go wrong stopping by.

An excellent example of a local library. Staff who are well trained make each visit a pleasure.
